One WWE star has commented that they want to slap Dominik Mysterio in the face after having read some of his recent comments.
While Dirty Dom Dominik Mysterio certainly has heat with the fans, he continues to have heat with his own Dad, WWE legend and Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
Rey Mysterio said on The Bump of some comments that have particularly incensed him recently:
“I was actually reading one of Dom’s comments saying how sad it was for me to have to try and win a title when he had just become North American champion.”
“And I’ll tell you what — if I see him, I’ll slap him right in the face for saying that, because it’s not true. I don’t feel that way. The opportunity was given and I took advantage of it, just like he did.”
In the event that Dominik is able to get through this Saturday’s NXT premium live event No Mercy with his title intact, Rey has a match idea.
The elder Mysterio said:
“At the end of the day, if we come to bump shoulders again, and he’s still champion and I’m still champion, I would not mind putting this title against his title on the line.”
Rey Mysterio is set to defend his United States Championship against mentee from the LWO, Santos Escobar on tomorrow night’s September 29 episode of WWE SmackDown.
