WWE star Drew Gulak has poked fun at a huge Forbidden Door rumor, after initially fuelling speculation.
On tonight’s AEW x NJPW pay-per-view, Bryan Danielson will unveil the newest member of his Blackpool Combat Club faction, who will then face Zack Sabre Jr, before going on to compete in Wednesday’s Blood & Guts match.
There has been heavy speculation that Cesaro will make his AEW debut as Danielson’s replacement on tonight’s show.
Earlier today, Gulak shared a clip of himself applying a submission move on Cesaro for #SubmissionHoldSunday. Many fans commented on Gulak choosing a sequence involving Cesaro amidst speculation.
Gulak has since taken to Twitter to address the buzz. Promoting another upcoming wrestling event, Gulak wrote:
“I’m getting a bunch of replies about the timeliness of this tweet. Well, timeliness is next to safety in my book and we all know how much I love safety! @WWE’s sold out Money in the Bank comes to you live this Saturday from Las Vegas and you can stream it on @peacockTV ! #MITB”
Gulak isn’t currently slated to compete at Money in the Bank on July 2. You can view the line-up for the upcoming WWE premium live event right here.
While Cesaro seems to be the current favorite, he is far from the only star who could fit the criteria for Danielson’s hand-picked talent. Here are seven possible names who could replace Danielson.
