WWE Champion Slams Drew McIntyre For ‘Complaining & Whining’

WWE Champion Slams Drew McIntyre For ‘Complaining & Whining’ WWE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has taken issue with claims by Drew McIntyre that he’s a “transitional champion.”

McIntyre became World Heavyweight Champion after defeating Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 on April 7, 2024.

That victory would be shortlived with Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity and becoming champion moments later, as can be seen below this news story.

McIntyre has, naturally, been irritated by how things went down, accusing the Judgment Day member of being a “transitional champion” on the April 8 episode of WWE Raw.

Speaking on The Bump, Priest shared his thoughts about the criticism when asked if it was “tough to hear”, saying:

“Not if it’s not true. I could care less what Drew says. Drew’s been talking for months. That’s all he does is talk.

“He’s forgot how to deliver, and that’s why he lost at WrestleMania, that’s why he lost on RAW.

“The old Drew McIntyre, the one that he always talks about, when he had his moment but there was no fans, that guy handled business.

“This guy, all he does is talk, and complain, and whine, and then he loses.”

The main event of the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 40 saw McIntyre, Jey Uso, Bronson Reed and Ricochet in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship with Uso winning.

It did, however, feature interference from CM Punk who prevented McIntyre hitting his Claymore Kick.

With McIntyre’s contract due to expire shortly, it is reported that he’s telling those close to him that he hasn’t yet signed a new deal.

It was also recently reported that McIntyre’s gear for his WrestleMania 40 Night 2 match was lost and the seamstress stayed up until 6am to get new gear made for him.
