WWE Files Several Trademarks Including ‘The Hand’

WWE has filed a number of trademarks with the United States Patent & Trademark office, including “the hand” on December 30, 2020.

On the penultimate day of the year, WWE filed for ‘The Hand’, ‘Valentina Feroz’, ‘Shou’, and this Chinese symbol:

‘The Hand’ was filed with the following description:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network

That description would seem to imply it could be used as someone’s name or nickname, or something like that.

The others were all filed with this description:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

We do know that Valentina Feroz is the new name for Rita Reis as she had a match on this past Wednesday’s NXT, which was a quick and decisive loss to Mercedes Martinez.
