Will that forbidden door ever stop opening? WWE footage on Impact Wrestling, whatever next?
For the first time in history, footage from WWE was aired on Impact Wrestling on AXS TV, which was part of the same deal which saw Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James take part in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
The footage shown was of Mickie’s appearance in the Rumble, which saw her eliminate Michelle McCool before being dumped out by Lita.

According to James, the deal was made a few weeks ahead of the Rumble after WWE reached out to Impact Wrestling President Scott D’Amore.
It looks for now at least that Mickie’s Rumble appearance was a one off, and while she has expressed an interest in working more with WWE while also signed to Impact, don’t expect to see her back in WWE any time soon.
