A notable former champion has teased facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WWE WrestleMania 40 in April.
With the Ring General breaking numerous records with his title reign, there has been a lot of speculation about who will dethrone the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.
Raw star Ricochet has now thrown his name into the conversation, replying to a tweet asking who Gunther should face at the April 6-7 event.
Up for the challenge, Ricochet shared this post with one emoji:

Ricochet was notably the star who Gunther defeated to become Intercontinental Champion, with the high-flyer losing to the Austrian star on the June 10, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
Replying to a Twitter user who pointed out that Ricochet has lost to Gunther before, Ricochet replied:
He’s beaten everybody so far, so your point is?
Ricochet also replied to a comment noting that it’s Chad Gable’s time, and that he could be in a pre-show style battle royal, writing:
I disagree with you.
Gunther recently passed the record for combined days holding the Intercontinental Title, meaning that he has held the Intercontinental Championship in one reign for longer than any individual has throughout their entire career.
A former WWE star has teased a return to face Gunther, which you can read more about right here.
