LA Knight has become one of the most popular stars on the WWE roster over the past few months, with his crowd reactions growing by the week.
Heading into Money In The Bank, the self-proclaimed mega star has been picked as many fans’ favourite to win the titular Ladder match, beginning his rise up the company Ladder, both literally and figuratively.
Knight has had many supporters in and out of the company, and you can add WWE Hall of Famer Booker T to the list.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker called for WWE to ‘put a rocket’ on LA Knight.
He said:
“Put the rocket on him, man. I mean, quit messing around. Put the title on him [laughs]. That’s my thing, man. When you got a guy like him, he’s rare, he’s very rare. He’s organic, he’s figured it out on his own. When you got guys like that, you got to put ‘em in the game. That’s just me. That’s the school I come from. So yeah, watching that dude do his stuff right now, it’s been awesome.
“I watched that dude sit and get a little bit of nothing, and go out there and sprinkle some salt and pepper on it, and some Cholula in it. It feels good. You want to get behind him. He hasn’t been the chosen one or anything like that. Another thing that I say all the time, you gotta win by attrition. You gotta wait until everybody else drop off, and when you walk through that curtain, it’s some heat, and something going on. They gonna know it. It’s inevitable. So I’m just glad to see him getting his flowers,”
Knight picked up a win over WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
He is set to face off against Logan Paul, Santos Escobar, Butch, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura and Damian Priest in the men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match at Money In The Bank this Saturday.
Knight has revealed in an interview recently that he was originally cast in the role of Max Dupri due to concerns about his age.
