Another WWE Star To Make History At Backlash 2024

Another WWE star will make history with their appearance at today’s (May 4) Backlash 2024 premium live event.

One of the most popular acts on tonight’s card is team R-KO, with Kevin Owens able to speak French to the crowd in Lyon, France, and Randy Orton just being Randy Orton.

The duo are slated to face off against Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of the Bloodline in a tag-team match.

As pointed out by @WWEStats on Twitter, Kevin Owens will become the first star to team with, and face off against Randy Orton in a two-on-two premium live event match.

Owens notably teamed with Sami Zayn to defeat Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at Clash of Champions 2017.

While Owens and Orton currently act as allies, the duo were on opposing sides of the ring at WrestleMania 40, when both stars challenged for Logan Paul’s US Title in a three way bout.

Kevin Owens’ appearance won’t be the only historic one, with Jessika Carr set to officiate the Undisputed WWE Title match between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles.

Per Cody Rhodes, this match will be the first Undisputed WWE Title PLE main event officiated by a woman.
