Jinder Mahal has responded to Drew McIntyre sending him support after the former was released by WWE last night (April 19).
Earlier Drew McIntyre sent an emotional message to Jinder Mahal following the former WWE Champion’s release from the company.
Sharing a throwback photo of the pair McIntyre wrote:
“We showed them once. Now show them again, brother.”
Now the released star Jinder Mahal has responded, remaining active on social media in the wake of his release from WWE.
Mahal wrote in response:
“Comeback Kingz 👑.”
Jinder was among the five WWE stars who were released from the company last night, with Veer, Sanga, Xia Li and Xyon Quinn also being let go from their contracts.
Both Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre were both members of the group 3MB when they were released from the company initially in 2014.
Jinder returned to the company in 2016, with McIntyre also returning to the company a few months later in 2017.
Both would go on to win the WWE Championship upon their returns to the company with McIntyre most recently winning the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 40.
After Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase however, McIntyre’s reign lasted mere moments.
McIntyre’s contract expires towards the end of May, and as of this writing, he reportedly still hasn’t re-signed.
