WWE have been served a legal letter by a law firm representing JD McDonagh over the outcome of his match against R-Truth.
The December 17 episode of WWE Raw saw R-Truth return to in-ring action to face JD McDonagh with a spot in the Judgment Day seemingly on the line.
McDonagh would lose the match, as can be seen from the highlights below, although has pointed out that his shoulders weren’t down in a post-match tweet.
It looks like McDonagh has found a way to appeal the decision with help from the Luca Crusifino, Esq.
The NXT star posted a legal letter to Twitter that reads:
Please be advised, The Crusifino Law Firm has been formally retained to represent the legal interests of WWE Superstar Mr. JD McDonagh (hereinafter “Client” or “Mr. McDonagh”), in legally contesting the outcome of the Monday Night RAW match against R-Truth (hereinafter “The Match”) .
The Match took place on Live Television on Monday December 17, 2023, the result of which, Mr. McDonagh illegally lost his match against R-Truth by pinfall. Upon information and belief, we are aware of hundreds of pictures circulating the internet currently which show R-Truth’s hand under Mr. McDonagh’s shoulder. Hence, Mr. McDonagh was never actually pinned down.
This letter is served upon you, WWE Management, to be put on notice that if this decision is not overturned due to this clear evidence, then a potential lawsuit will be filed against you. We are respectfully requesting that The Match is declared a “no-contest”.
You have seven days to respond to this letter or to change the decision without a response.
Please feel free to contact your lawyer regarding this letter.
McDonagh only became an official member of Judgment Day in November 2023, after many weeks of attempting to join the group.
It is yet to be seen how WWE will respond to the letter or whether JD McDonagh still officially has a place in Judgment Day.
