WWE Legend Heaps Praise On Dominik Mysterio: ‘He’s So Damned Good’ WWE

WWE’s ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio has had quite the 2023, with him quietly making the case as one of the most improved wrestlers of the year so far.

Mysterio faced off against Trick Williams on this week’s episode of NXT, where he defeated Trick to win back the NXT North American Championship after losing it for just three days back at No Mercy.

Speaking about Dominik on Busted Open Radio, Mickie James praised his work, believing him to be a ‘natural’.

She said:

“Dom is incredible. I know he’s a bad guy and we’re supposed to hate him. I’m going, ‘Where did he train?’ It’s not like we watched Dominik on the independents or in a smaller organisation where we knew Dom was training to be a wrestler prior to showing up on WWE television.

“I still look at Dom and I love him so much. I still think of baby Dom, of little Dom. He’s quietly… he’s a student of the game, he’s been around the business… his whole life, but I never heard of Dom training to be a wrestler or anything like that. To think that he has quietly been training this whole time prior to coming to TV and so no-one knew what to expect for when he was going to be a wrestler and he’s just completely killed it.

“The natural ability, the little things that you can see him doing that he looks like he’s a 10/20 year veteran out there. A lot of his euphemisms and body language, all these little things. We’re going to look back, as we do in wrestling, 10 ten years from now you’re going to say Dominik Mysterio is one of the greats and it’s crazy to think about. Look at how much heat he has, and he’s really great and I don’t really love to say that about young talent.

“I’m just like, ‘He’s some damned good’, and if he’s already this good now, what can we expect to see from Dominik Mysterio? He’s just scratching the surface.”

Dominik has been pulling double duty across NXT and Raw in recent months since defeating Wes Lee for the North American Championship.

Dominik and the rest of the Judgment Day all hold championship gold in the company following Dominik’s victory on NXT.
