WWE Legend Announced For Voice Cast For Anime Movie’s Dub Release WWE

WWE legend Dave Bautista is set for another big Hollywood project soon.

Announced by Variety on Tuesday, October 17, the voice cast for the upcoming dub release of the Japanese anime movie ‘The Boy and the Heron’ was revealed, which features Batista voicing the Parakeet King.

Bautista is just one name in a star studded line up also including Christian Bale, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson, and Florence Pugh.

Variety included the following description of the movie:

“This semi-autobiographical story follows a 12-year-old boy named Mahito Maki. After the death of his mother during a fire-bombing, Mahito is sent by his father, Shoichi to live with his aunt, Natsuko, in a remote country house reminiscent of that in “My Neighbor Totoro” (1988).

“Mahito begins spotting a heron around and follows the heron through a tunnel. After emerging from the tunnel into a grand hall, Mahito sees an illusion of his mother. With the heron, Mahito explores an imaginative wonderland, “a world shared by the living and dead.”

The movie is set for release on December 8, 2023.

Batista isn’t the only wrestling star set for an upcoming voice acting role, as AEW World Champion MJF is set to voice Killer Croc in the upcoming Justice League X RWBY Super Heroes And Huntsmen Part Two movie.
