A WWE manager has commented on his potential new client after a successful first outing of what could be a fruitful relationship.
A few weeks ago, WWE released Von Wagner and left Robert Stone without a client on NXT TV.
After teasing a reunion with Chelsea Green that didn’t actually happen, Stone seems to have found his newest star in the form of Dante Chen.
On last night’s May 21 episode of NXT (taped a week prior), Stone introduced Chen, who went on to pick up a win over Lexis King.
After the win, Stone commented on his relationship with Chen, tweeting:
When Dante 1st arrived from Singapore he told me that he had followed my career. So I decided to follow his. You will not meet a more deserving guy. He’s been killing it on Level Up and live events these past few yrs. I’m glad the whole #WWEUniverse just got to experience him.
Chen has become known as the ‘gatekeeper’ of NXT Level Up as he performs so consistently on that show, and it appears it’s finally time for him to break out on NXT TV proper.
Stone also coined a new catchphrase based off the WWE tagline ‘Then. Now. Forever’, adapting it to: ‘Chen. Now. Forever.’
