WWE has sent out a message to its staff regarding the news that just broke that the company’s board is investigating a situation involving Vince McMahon.
It has been alleged that McMahon came to an agreement to pay a “hush pact” of $3 million to an ex-employee he’s believed to have had an affair with which bars her from talking about their relationship.

In an update, it has emerged that WWE has sent a statement to staff regarding the situation. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the message was as follows:
“The Wall Street Journal has published a report about WWE with allegations that we and our Board of Directors take seriously.”
WWE has yet to make a public statement.
