WWE commentator Wade Barrett has sent a heartfelt message to another WWE name, calling him the most underappreciated man in the company.
Barrett took to Twitter to share a throwback photo of himself and Byron Saxton with the late Dusty Rhodes, on commentary for FCW.
Noting that Saxton helped him out a lot during WrestleMania week, the WWE commentator wrote:
Big shout out to the most criminally under-appreciated man in @WWE, @ByronSaxton, who helped me out massively once again this past week.
The only guy on the team who can (and does) do literally everything, and unlike the rest of us, he never complains.
He’s been holding my broadcasting hand since 2008. The MVP.
Fellow commentator Corey Graves agreed with Barrett, simply replying:
Amen.
Byron Saxton responded to Barrett’s comments, writing:
It’s always been a pleasure my friend.
In addition to backstage work, Saxton had several on-screen roles at WrestleMania 40, where he notably presented a segment recognising three non-profit organizations for their work throughout the Philadelphia community.
He also moderated the press conferences after both nights of WrestleMania 40.
A WWE legend has now named two stars they believe will main-event a future WrestleMania, which you can read more about right here.
It’s always been a pleasure my friend. https://t.co/kLgvFb8aBX
