On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, the brand’s General Manager Ava made a big announcement regarding a new championship.
Previously it had been announced that NXT would introduce a new championship, the NXT Women’s North American Title.
Appearing an in-ring segment, Ava announced how the new champion would be determined.
Beginning next week the female roster will compete in a combine.
The 12 stars “that impress the most” will advance to six qualifying matches to determine who will ultimately face off in a ladder match at NXT Battleground to determine the first Women’s North American Champion.
The announcement would instigate an in-ring segment featuring Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, Arianna Grace and finally a surprise appearance by Michin.
Michin would go on to declare her entry in the combine before the segment would end in pandemonium as much of the NXT women’s locker room emptied into the ring in a brawl.
NXT Battleground is set for Sunday, June 9, 2024 live from the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time ever.
