WWE Star Reacts To Paul Heyman Calling Him A Potential WrestleMania Main Eventer WWE

Former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes has reacted to Paul Heyman predicting that he will headline a future WrestleMania event.

The Tribal Chief’s Special Counsel appeared on Tuesday’s (October 10) edition of NXT, with Heyman in the corner of Bron Breakker for his match against Carmelo Hayes, who had John Cena backing him.

Ahead of this bout, Heyman hyped up both competitors while speaking with Sports Illustrated, noting that both stars are the future of the company.

Heyman noted he believes that the duo have the potential to become WrestleMania headliners, stating that there aren’t many better representatives for the talent fighting to go on last at the Show of Shows.

Speaking on Busted Open, Carmelo Hayes noted that, while Heyman’s comments were reassuring, they also piled on the pressure.

Hayes explained:

“(It’s) reassurance. It’s cool hearing things like that from him because you want to believe it about yourself, but when you hear it from somebody whose opinion really matters — it’s just great. It’s super cool.

“Also, (I feel) a little bit of pressure. It’s like, oh man, that’s how highly he thinks of me? I gotta make sure I live up to expectations, which I will.”

Hayes ultimately defeated Bron Breakker, but was attacked by the powerhouse after the bout.

This led to the Undertaker making an appearance to attack Breakker, and show respect to Hayes.

A video has emerged revealing what happened with Undertaker and Hayes after the cameras stopped rolling, which you can read more about right here.
