Piper Niven has shared an emotional message to ‘bigger kids’ having grown up as someone who wasn’t allowed to stand up for herself.
Niven made her WWE debut in March 2019 as part of the NXT UK roster and would make her way to the main roster in June 2021.
Joining the WWE Raw roster, Niven would be repackaged as Doudrop, working alongside Eva Marie, a character she would have until her return from illness in January 2023.
Speaking to Gorilla Position, Niven revealed the importance of her Piper character and the message she hopes it sends, saying:
“For me, Piper was always the person that I wanted to be when I was younger.
“I wasn’t allowed to be angry, I wasn’t allowed to fight and stand up for myself.
“Piper was that person that I always wanted to be.
“I know that there’s a lot of kids that are bigger kids, maybe they get picked on.
“I hope that when they see Piper, she makes them feel that they can stand up for themselves as well.”
Since joining WWE, she has been a two-time WWE 24/7 Champion and held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Chelsea Green.
