A wrestling legend has praised WWE for being ‘classy’ and letting him attend AEW Revolution for Sting’s retirement match.
Sting wrestled his final match at the March 3 pay-per-view, teaming with Darby Allin to defeat the Young Bucks.
Several wrestling veterans were in attendance for the match, including Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff and Lex Luger.
Speaking on Busted Open, Lex Luger noted that WWE gave him permission to attend, as long as he wasn’t part of the match.
Praising WWE, Luger explained:
“WWE is classy. They said you can go and everything, just don’t be on camera or be a part of the match. It was an incredible evening. A wonderful sendoff.”
It was reported that the ‘stars from the past’ were impressed with Will Ospreay’s match at Revolution, which you can read more about right here.
Ospreay wrestled his first match as an official AEW star at Revolution, defeating Konosuke Takeshita in singles action.
Will Ospreay was in action again on the March 6 edition of Dynamite, pinning Kyle Fletcher in an impressive encounter.
Wednesday’s show also featured an appearance from Ospreay’s NJPW mentor Kazuchika Okada, which you can read more about at this link.
