The potential next move for QT Marshall following him announcing his departure from AEW has potentially been revealed.

QT Marshall took to Twitter on Monday, where he revealed that he had handed in his notice to AEW, and planned on officially leaving the company on January 1.

One of the reasons cited for QT’s decision to leave was his belief that the company was heading into a different direction, which he believed to be ‘like NJPW’.

Marshall also reportedly claimed that he had hoped to continue on as a wrestler, which was happening less frequently in AEW.

Following his departure from the company, many have speculated about what could be next for Marshall, and there has been an update on a company showing interest in him.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), MLW sources immediately indicated interest in QT Marshall, saying that they were surprised to see that he would be hitting the open market.

Fightful notes that MLW is planning to communicate with QT, with them wanting him to work both in and out of the ring.

MLW is said to be in the process of revamping their front office, including some roles Marshall had worked in during his time in AEW.

Marshall has also had several within WWE pushing for him for a variety of roles, which is to be expected.

The reaction to QT backstage in AEW has been overwhelmingly positive, with many in the company praising Marshall on his way out.
