R-Truth & The Miz React To Upcoming WWE Raw Match

R-Truth & The Miz React To Upcoming WWE Raw Match

The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) will face #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) on April 22, 2024, for the WWE World Tag Team Titles.

With The Awesome Truth receiving new championship belts, the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship was rechristened as the World Tag Team Championship, as can be seen below this news story.

The announcement would be followed by a Number 1 Contender’s match between The Creed Brothers, New Day and #DIY.

With #DIY being victorious, The Miz and R-Truth shared their thoughts in a WWE Digital Exclusive that can be seen below, with The Miz saying:

“Expect the unexpected. You never know what to expect when you’re the Tag Team Champions.

“And, so we are ready, we are prepared. We know them inside and out. I feel like we’re pretty good friends.”

R-Truth would chip in to clear up any confusion, in his own way, asking:

“We’re great things with them. You talking about Shawn (Michaels) and Triple H? Yeah, we’re good friends with them.”

The Miz would concede that that was definitely who he was talking about before the pair headed off to show off their new titles.

As for #DIY, they would share their thoughts on Raw Talk, an extract of which can be seen below, with Ciampa saying:

“I’ve been with The Miz, I’ve fought against The Miz, now we’re back with The Miz… and you bring in the Truth factor.”

With Gargano saying “You never know what he’s going to do next”, R-Truth would make a timely appearance, saying:

“Hey, Triple H, I don’t mean to bother you but you think later on we can get that picture where you’ll be pointing with people at.

“Me and Miz are tag team champs and we want to get that picture.”

Aware that Triple H’s time is valuable, R-Truth went on to say:

“Okay, I can tell it’s a bad time.”

Gargano would attempt to offer an olive branch of sorts, saying:

“He can point at you.”

R-Truth wasn’t keen on the moment, though, pointing out:

“No, it’s gotta be with both of us – with me and Miz.

“My bad, you finish what you’ve been doing. We’ll get that picture.”

Heading off, R-Truth left a touch of confusion in his wake, with Ciampa musing:

“Does he have any idea we have a tag team title match next week?”

Gargano would respond by saying that Truth has “no clue” with it not being clear whether it would be an advantage or disadvantage.
