A former WWE Universal Champion has slammed the company for a ‘stupid business decision’ in the form of his release.
With the behind-the-scenes series WWE Unreal having recently dropped, a fan on Twitter noticed that Strowman has featured in highlights for the Netflix series and on the SummerSlam pre-show.
The fan would go on to ask why Strowman was released “if they are using his image and likeness so much?”, tagging Triple H in his tweet.
Strowman would have a blunt response to this question, noting the quality of the business decision, in a reply that reads:
“Cause someone made a stupid business decision!!!!”
On May 2, a number of main roster and NXT stars were released from their contract, including Braun Strowman.
It was later reported that a contributing factor to the decision behind Strowman’s release was his high salary.
Braun Strowman’s most recent release marks the end of his second run with WWE, having previously been released in June 2021.
He would return to WWE in September the following year, remaining with the company until his recent release.
Strowman has recently been critical of WWE, claiming the company “don’t care about the fans” after Karrion Kross reacted to suggestions the “We Want Kross” chant was aimed at Brock Lesnar.
Casue someone made a stupid business decision!!!!
