WWE star Aliyah has addressed her in-ring absence, commented on rumors about a potential return on SmackDown.
Aliyah hasn’t wrestled WWE TV in almost a year.
Her most recent match saw her and Raquel Rodriguez drop their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Dakota Kai & IYO SKY on the September 12, 2022 edition of Raw.
While Aliyah was initially dealing with an injury, she has reportedly been healthy and ready to return for months.
Aliyah has now taken to Twitter to reveal that she had landed in Toronto, Canada.
When asked if she’ll be at SmackDown, which is set to emanate from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Aliyah shared a GIF of Kenan Thompson eating popcorn while saying ‘you’re all doing great’, with the caption:
Come say hi, I’ll be in the crowd like 🍿

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship has changed hands numerous times since Aliyah’s title loss, with just one half of the champions changing on the August 14 edition of Raw.
With Sonya Deville currently recovering from an ACL injury, it was revealed on the show that Piper Niven will step in and take Deville’s place as champion alongside Chelsea Green.
WWE has now addressed this unconventional title change, which you can read more about right here.
