WWE Reveals How Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania 40 Opponent Will Be Determined

WWE has revealed how Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania 40 opponent will be determined after Bayley chose to challenge IYO SKY instead.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2024, Bayley won the Women’s Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Liv Morgan.

On the February 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, Bayley announced that she will challenge fellow Damage CTRL member and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY at WrestleMania 40.

Meanwhile, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley was recently attacked by Nia Jax on the January 29 episode of Raw.

Ahead of tonight’s February 5 episode, General Manager Adam Pearce announced in a digital exclusive that Ripley’s WrestleMania 40 opponent will be determined in the Elimination Chamber Match at the titular event on February 24.

To determine the participants, there will be qualifying matches starting on tonight’s show.

WrestleTalk will provide any news and notes for tonight’s Monday Night Raw Raw when they become available.
