WWE SmackDown on October 27 kicked off with a spicy contract signing segment between Roman Reigns and fan favorite LA Knight.
The crowd wasn’t treated to the typically lengthy ring entrance from Roman Reigns, instead with LA Knight interrupting to get the segment rolling.
With Knight anxious to get the proceedings over with, he elected to sit at the head of the table as SmackDown GM Nick Aldis watched on.
Eventually the exchange turned physical when Jimmy Uso appeared after a brawl between Reigns and Knight kicked off.
In the end, it was Jimmy Uso who went through a table as Roman Reigns stood watching on as Knight stood tall in the ring as the crowd went wild.
Later in a backstage segment, Reigns was seen in the locker room with Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso.
With Roman Reigns telling Jimmy Uso that he needs to take care of LA Knight tonight or “it’s all over,” Uso at first protested and then accepted the assignment.
Reigns sent Heyman to “tell Aldis to make the match,” and it was later confirmed.
In the main event of SmackDown, Uso took on LA Knight and after a valiant effort, Knight eventually defeated Jimmy but immediately thereafter was attacked by Roman Reigns.
Or moreover, Reigns attempted to attack!
Instead, LA Knight reversed the surprise run-in and ended up hitting his finisher the Blunt Force Trauma on Reigns straight away, leaving him down and eventually stumbling to end the episode.
There’s one last episode of SmackDown before Crown Jewel next week, which is actually being taped tonight because of next week’s travel to Saudi Arabia.
