Another WWE star has reportedly been ruled out of this weekend’s February 1 Royal Rumble 2025 premium live event due to injury.
This past Monday on Raw, JD McDonagh suffered injuries that will keep him out of action for at least a couple of months, but he’s not the only one that’s been pulled from the Rumble on short notice.
A week prior to McDonagh’s injury, Dakota Kai had a similar incident where she suffered a concussion during her match on Raw.
Kai was pulled from the road and ruled out of action until she can pass WWE’s concussion protocols.
In a new update from PWInsider Elite, it’s confirmed that Kai is still in concussion protocol.
That means she isn’t travelling to Indianapolis for the WWE Royal Rumble, and therefore won’t be part of this year’s women’s Rumble match.
It’s believed Kai suffered the injury via the missile dropkick from Zoey Stark that went somewhat viral on social media during the Damage CTRL vs Pure Fusion Collective tag team match.
We send Kai all the best throughout her recovery.
