WWE Champion Fires Shots At ‘Old Man’ CM Punk WWE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins fired shots in the direction of the injured CM Punk at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show.

Rollins was talking to Denise Salcedo on the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Show green carpet when he said:

“I mean, look, one of us is a fragile old man and one of us is a young stallion.

“So, I’ll be back in a couple of weeks and he’ll be in a year or two till his next injury. I don’t know.

“I’d love to kick the cr*p out of him. I’m sure he’d love to get in there and try to do something to me but it’s not going to work.

“Am I disappointed? Only a little bit because I thought if we had an opportunity to do it, stomping his head into the mat would be the best at WrestleMania.

“It would be the best at WrestleMania in front of the biggest audience.

“So, a little bummed by that but I feel like he’s talking about the greatest comeback of all time.

“I’ll be there to stomp out that comeback.”

Rollins also had words to say about Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, suggesting that he had “demeaned the title“.

Having suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus on January 15, Rollins has also discussed his in-ring return, predicting a return before WrestleMania 40.

CM Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble in January and confirmed he wouldn’t be able to compete at WrestleMania 40 in April this year.

During the green carpet, Rollins also confirmed that his WWE contract is due to expire this year and revealed he’s confident a new deal will be worked out.
