A WWE star has broken his silence after being removed from a match he was originally announced for at WrestleMania 40.
On SmackDown the night before WrestleMania, there was a late change to an advertised match.
In what was originally announced to be Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio, Lee was replaced by Andrade.
On WWE SmackDown, Dragon Lee was shown down backstage after being attacked – Carlito claimed the attack was by Escobar, but the story seems to be that it was actually Carlito doing it out of jealousy that Lee got picked to be Rey’s partner instead of him.
Carlito then tried to pitch to Rey that he’d be able to replace Lee, but instead Rey had already chosen Andrade.
Since there’s been no news to suggest otherwise as of yet, it seems this was the plan all along and it’s not as if Lee’s removal was a legitimate last minute decision by WWE.
For the first time since the attack, Dragon Lee himself has now commented on social media, writing:
Someone took away my chance at WrestleMania!
Who did it?
At WWE WrestleMania night one, Dragon Lee was not present, but the rest of the LWO were – as were Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce – who helped Rey and Andrade pick up the win.
Alguien me quito mi oportunidad para wrestlemania.!
