WWE Star Brings Back Old Gimmick

Ahead of a big championship match tonight, a WWE star has resurrected an old gimmick. Will it just be for tonight, or will it stick around?

With the NXT Championship hanging in the balance, Baron Corbin made a big entrance ahead of his title match against champion Carmelo Hayes on tonight’s second week of NXT Gold Rush.

Gone were the flashy lights and Las Vegas themed ‘Happy Corbin’ entrance, as Baron Corbin returned to his ‘Lone Wolf’ iteration on tonight’s WWE NXT, including going back to the entrance music he used when he was in NXT eight years ago.

Including the entrance theme more befitting of his serious side, Corbin wore gear more befitting of his ‘Lone Wolf’ character as well.

It wasn’t enough to help him pick up the win though, as Hayes pinned Corbin and retained the NXT Title in the main event.

Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT, there was a controversial match finish as well as a fan favorite return after the first championship bout of the night.
