Are a pair of WWE stars about to be written off of television? An intriguing stipulation has just been proposed for a match next week!
On next week’s Fourth of July edition of WWE NXT, a big stipulation to a rematch: the losing team has to leave NXT forever!
In an in-ring segment on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (June 27) there was a group therapy session between the members of the Schism.
With Joe Gacy, Ava, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler all seated in the ring, there was clearly a divide within Schism, with Gacy and Ava on one side and the Dyad on the other of the conflict.
While the in-fighting continued, eventually before there was any real resolution, the proceedings were interrupted by the Diamond Mine.
With Brutus and Julius Creed speculating that the Dyad should just go ahead and kick rocks, Gacy proposed an interesting stipulation for a match next week.
Creed Brothers versus the Dyad, in a loser leaves NXT match with Julius Creed immediately accepting the challenge.
The immediate reaction to this would be the likelihood that this could be the time WWE writes the Dyad off TV after they requested their releases from the company earlier this year.
The request wasn’t granted, but they publicly stated that they’d be leaving the company upon the expiration of their contracts and becoming free agents in mid-October.
The other option worth considering, if it’s not that, would be a possible main roster call-up for the Creed Brothers.
Either way, one of the two teams will be leaving NXT TV in some way or another.
Elsewhere on tonight’s NXT, there was a controversial match finish as well as a fan favorite return after the first championship bout of the night.
