WWE Star Challenges Booker T To Face Him In Retirement Match

A WWE star has challenged WWE Hall of Famer Booker T to face him in Booker’s retirement match in the next year.

During his time in NXT, Trick Williams achieved a lot of success, including reigns with the North American, NXT and TNA Championships.

Perhaps Trick’s biggest fan during his NXT career was Booker T, who would constantly cheer for Trick and create iconic adlibs to his entrance music.

Trick Williams Calls Booker T His ‘Uncle’

Speaking at Fanatics Fest, Trick was asked about Booker’s influence on him, with Trick noting that Booker helped him out a lot behind the scenes in NXT.

He said:

“Booker T is special, I call him because I truly do believe that. Booker T is my uncle, he saw me before a time when it was the popular belief that Trick Williams was gonna be the next big superstar.

“Booker T he sat with me and he said ‘I see what you’re doing, I like what you’re doing, let me help you out, let me show you how to look at the camera and pose this way so your muscles look good, and talk a little bit more trash right here’, and this part of the game.

“He was just able to teach me the game and elevate my game to the next level so I could be that superstar and continue to grow every single day. He did that at a time when it wasn’t the popular thing, so I’ll always appreciate that.”

Trick Williams Challenges Booker T To Retirement Match

Later in the interview, Trick noted that he had heard that Booker T wants one last match, pitching for the match to be against him within the next year.

He added:

“Word through the grapevine is Booker T wants one more match. He said he wants one more match, and I think it’s only right, it’s only fitting, that his last match is with the man he helped mould into the superstar he is today.

“I was thinking what better time than the present, maybe within the next year or so. How would y’all like to see Booker T vs. the Anointed One Trick Williams?”
