A WWE star has expressed their “eternal” gratitude to the company’s management in a heartfelt statement online.
At this week’s NXT Roadblock event (March 5) we saw a stipulation brought back for the first time in eight years, as Dijak faced off with Joe Gacy in an Asylum match.
Much like their previous encounter at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4, the match was filled with memorable and off-the-wall moments.
However, one moment stood tall as one of the most insane NXT moments in recent memory, as 6ft 7 Dijak performed a picture perfect moonsault from the top of the cage down to Gacy below.
While the moment was rightfully greeted with a massive pop inside the WWE Performance Center, it seems as if some have been critical of it afterwards based on Dijak’s response on social media.
Posting to Twitter, Dijak celebrated the moment and used it as an opportunity to convey how grateful he is to both Triple H and Shawn Michaels for the direction his career has taken in recent years – a far cry from his time as T-BAR in the Retribution faction.
Dijak even revealed in the emotional post, that he previously thought he’d be fired – often staring at his phone expecting a call.
People who tell me I shouldn’t do a moonsault off the top of a cage have never been T-Bar barely treading water on Main Event & tearfully staring at my phone waiting to be fired.
I don’t take a second of this for granted and I’m eternally grateful to @ShawnMichaels & @TripleH.
Dijak returned to NXT in November 2022, having spent almost two years prior as the often criticised name of T-BAR.
Since his repackaging, Dijak has become one of NXT’s top performers, however, according to reports he is one of many other talents which contract is set to expire – specifically in June 2024.
As of now, there are no new updates on a ew contract being agreed between WWE and Dijak.
