WWE Star Tells Boston Crowd He’s ‘Better Than John Cena’ WWE

For the past few months, WWE has seemingly been teasing an eventual clash between John Cena and Austin Theory.

The match was rumoured for this year’s SummerSlam event in Nashville, which didn’t end up happening.

However, with Cena reportedly expected for next year’s WrestleMania event, fans have speculated about potential opponents for him in Los Angeles.

Following his recent character change, Austin Theory’s name has again popped up as a potential opponent for Cena.

WWE seemed to hint towards a potential clash between the two once again on today’s episode of WWE’s The Bump prior to Survivor Series in Boston.

Theory appeared on the show ahead of his United States Championship match with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley on the show.

Theory ended his spot on the show by running down the Boston crowd, before he told them that he ‘doesn’t care’ if John Cena is from Boston, and that he is ‘better than him’.

Cena has not wrestled a match for WWE in the year 2022, the first year without him wrestling for the company since he debuted in 2002.

He and Theory took part in a segment together during John Cena’s anniversary episode of Raw.
