WWE Star Joins Commentary Team

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT (January 16) a WWE star tried out a brand new role: third seat on the NXT commentary team.

However his unhinged behavior wouldn’t lend to the long term success of him in the role as he ended up brawling up the ramp.

Without warning before a match between Dijak and Trey Bearhill, Joe Gacy joined the commentary team, seated between Booker T and Vic Joseph.

With an oversized suit, he said he was a big fan of their work and was grateful to be there.

Also when questioned about the ‘moth ball’ smell of the suit, he corrected his broadcast partners that it was in fact, a hot dog in his pocket.

The phrase ‘pocket dog’ would go on to be said multiple times during the short match, leading to some highly amusing moments throughout the match.

Gacy even threw a “what a manoeuvre!” into his commentary at one point.

Back in the ring, there were no jokes as Dijak took on Trey Bearhill in a hard hitting match after a backstage segment saw the pair face off earlier in the locker room.

During the match, Gacy rose from his spot on commentary to headbutt Dijak behind the referee’s back but it still wouldn’t be enough to get Bearhill the win.

Dijak would eventually win the match over Bearhill however was then promptly attacked by Gacy who fled the commentary seat to brawl.

After the match as Gacy and Dijak fought to the back, Lexis King attacked Trey Bearhill.

Blaming him for ‘costing him the biggest match of his career’ the segment ended with King standing tall.
