It’s not uncommon for WWE stars to feature in matches at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport with the November 24 show being the most recent.
GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII saw WWE NXT Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey defeat Tracy Williams, while Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Myles Borne lost to Royce Isaacs.
The match marked Dempsey’s third Bloodsport match and his second victory having previously beat Matt Makowski in April and losing to Royce Isaacs in July of this year.
Isaacs took to Twitter to praise Dempsey and Borne, throwing out a challenge to the remaining NQCC member Tavion Heights for good measure, posting:
“Shoutout to Charlie and Myles they are tough as they come @TavionHeights, but I’m up 2-0 on NQCC at Bloodsport now
“You should want revenge. And me? Ive always wanted to wrestle an Olympian
“Respectfully, get whatever permission slip you need signed and come face me at Bloodsport”
Heights competed in the 2020 Olympics which took place in Tokyo, Japan during 2021 (due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
The WWE NXT star would react to the challenge from Isaacs with a tweet of his own that read:
“Be careful what you wish for…”
Isaacs challenge to face an Olympian caught the attention of Jeff Cobb who competed in the Athens 2004 Olympics, who tweeted:
“I guess we’ve never wrestled 🙄”
Isaacs would clarify his comments about facing an Olympian in a follow up tweet that read:
“*at Bloodsport jeez.”
Cobb most recently faced Isaacs in a singles match which took place at LLL Thrill Me in January 2024.
Before that, Cobb represented United Empire with Aaron Henare to take on Team Filthy (Isaacs & Tom Lawlor) at NJPW G1 Climax 21 in August 2022 and also faced each other at SPW in January 2017.
Elsewhere at Bloodsport, fellow WWE NXT star Karmen Petrovic made her debut outside the company – follow this link for full details.
