Another WWE Main Roster Star Added To NXT No Mercy WWE

The winner of the Global Heritage Invitational tournament to advance to a title shot at the Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy was revealed tonight.

The final featured Joe Coffey taking on Butch from the WWE main roster in order to determine who would get a shot at Noam Dar and the Heritage Cup on Saturday night.

With Joe Coffey winning Group B and representing Scotland, and Butch having won Group A representing England, it was a battle NXT fans had seen before.

Noted on commentary, the pair main evented the first NXT UK Takeover in Blackpool with Butch (then Pete Dunne) having picked up the win in 2019.

After persistent annoyances and attempts to interfere, Gallus was eventually barred from ringside but not before Butch caught a stray punch from Wolfgang.

In the end it was Butch that picked up the victory and is headed for the big title match at NXT No Mercy in Bakersfield, California on Saturday, September 30.

Butch will face Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy.

Elsewhere confirmed for the premium live event, Becky Lynch is set to defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton.
