WWE Star Released Causes Announce Team Change WWE

A shakeup in the announce team on NXT Level Up as McKenzie Mitchell being released from WWE creates a cascade effect on programming.

After backstage interviewer from NXT McKenzie Mitchell was released from WWE, Kelly Kincaid has stepped in to the NXT role.

However, this leaves her previous spot at NXT Level Up without a voice at the helm, leading to Sarah Schreiber doing double duty on Level Up.

Schreiber now serves as the ring announcer and backstage interviewer, appearing alongside Jaida Parker for a segment with the former soccer star on tonight’s December 8 episode.

Schreiber has previously been a backstage interviewer on NXT, Raw and SmackDown having joined WWE in 2018, and has also been a regular ring announcer for untelevised live events.

As for the talent Schreiber interviewed tonight, Jaida Parker participated in this year’s Women’s Breakout Tournament, however took on Gigi Dolin on tonight’s Level Up.

In the end, Dolin picked up the win after hitting a ‘Gigi Driver’ on Parker ahead of the pinfall victory.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Dion Lennox, who’ll be part of the upcoming Men’s Breakout Tournament, made his Level Up debut against Brooks Jensen with the latter picking up the win.

NXT is set for its last premium live event of the year at tomorrow night’s NXT Deadline (December 9) with two Iron Survivor Challenge matches amid other title bouts.

The NXT Championship is on line the line when Ilja Dragunov looks to defend his title against Baron Corbin, with Dominik Mysterio set to defend the North American Championship against Dragon Lee, who replaces the injured Wes Lee.
