WWE announced last week that Ash Costello will be appearing at WrestleMania tomorrow night to perform Rhea Ripley’s theme song ahead of her Raw Women’s Championship match with Asuka.
Interestingly, Rhea Ripley has told Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions that Ash Costello was supposed to play her theme at WrestleMania 36 last year, but the plans were nixed due to the COVID-19 pandemic:
“So, I think it was meant to happen last year. I didn’t hear anything about it,” Ripley remembered. “She messaged me saying, ‘Like, I’m sorry, this was supposed to be the moment.’ She had been contacted by WWE, but it got canceled before I heard about it. So, they just messaged her this year as well, and she said she was down…I’ve met Ash before, and she is so lovely. I’m so glad I get to share this WrestleMania moment with her!”
Before her Raw Women’s Championship match with Asuka at WrestleMania tomorrow night, Rhea Ripley told WrestleTalk that she expected Charlotte Flair to be added to the title bout.
