WWE Hall Of Famer Opens Up On Recent CM Punk Conversation

WWE Hall Of Famer Opens Up On Recent CM Punk Conversation AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about a recent conversation that they had with CM Punk as news of a television return continues.

With the premiere episode of AEW Collision taking place in CM Punk’s home of Chicago, hopes are once again raised that this may lead to a return for the wrestler.

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently revealed that he had spoken to Punk on the SI Media with Jimmy Traina podcast, saying:

“I just sent a message to Punk yesterday and we were just talking about his dog. He posted a picture of his dog and I sent him a message.”

The conversation wasn’t just about their love of their pets though, with Austin going on to ask about Punk’s injury, adding:

“I heard through the grapevine that he pulled his tricep. I said, ‘Did you tear your tricep?’, and he confirmed that he had. I don’t know where he is on the healing process.”

Austin would also touch on the drama surrounding CM Punk, admitting that he wasn’t aware of the behind-the-scenes stuff, concluding:

“I don’t know the ins and outs or the behind the scenes stuff. We own a TV and we stream shows every night, but I don’t watch TV. I don’t watch any shows.

“What I do keep up with wrestling is on social media. I don’t know if there’s a soap opera behind Punk.

“I think he’s a hellacious talent. I don’t know the trouble or the ongoings of which you speak, so I can’t answer that question. That’s an honest response because I don’t know.”

With no official confirmation of the return of CM Punk to AEW television, it was recently reported that NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) had been involved in the negotiations between both parties.
