Triple H Reacts To WWE Survivor Series WarGames Match Announcement WWE

Triple H has reacted to the WWE Survivor Series match announcement that sees WarGames return to the Premium Live Event on November 25.

The WWE Chief Content Officer had previously featured WarGames on NXT TakeOver shows before bringing it to the main roster at the 2022 Survivor Series.

It had been reported that WarGames would return for the November 25 PLE, with the teams being announced on the November 6 episode of WWE Raw.

The Men’s WarGames match will see Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn take on Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio, with JD McDonagh rounding out the team.

Triple H reacted to the announcement with a familiar catchphrase, sharing the graphic of Cody Rhodes in camouflage paint, tweeting:

“Let the games begin…”

The WCW Fall Brawl WarGames match in 1995 would see the team of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Lex Luger and Sting team up against The Dungeon of Doom (Kamala, The Zodiac, The Shark and Meng).

As can be seen in the video below, Hogan’s team also sported camouflage face paint with that team going on to win the match.

The WarGames match concept was created by Dusty Rhodes in 1987 and would become a staple of WCW, particularly at Fall Brawl.

The first NXT TakeOver: WarGames took place on November 18, 2017, with The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) defeating Sanity (Alexander Wolfe, Eric Young & Killian Dain), and the team of The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) and Roderick Strong.
