WWE Tag Team Receiving High Praise From ‘Important’ Backstage Names WWE

A new WWE tag team is reportedly receiving high praise from “several important names” backstage in the company.

The undoubted success story of the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic has been the team comprised of former rivals: Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker.

The unit, collectively known as The War Dogs may have seemed like an odd-pairing at first, however, it didn’t take long for fans to buy into them – with both men receiving favourable responses throughout the tournament.

And now, following NXT Vengeance Day and the duos big tournament victory, the question is whether WWE will keep Breakker and Corbin together, or will the team be as short-lived as we first assumed?

Well, despite Breakker seemingly set for a main roster call-up as soon as tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw, it seems as if their is a good chance the unit will indeed keep going on NXT.

A new report from Fightful Select, has revealed that “several important names” backstage have noticed how over The War Dogs have won over fans in their short time as a tandem.

Individually Breakker has received praise for his athleticism, with members of WWE’s production team joking that they are getting “whiplash” trying to keep up with the second-generation star’s movement in the ring.

As for Corbin, one WWE source noted that the veteran star has been “all class” thus far in his time on NXT, being praised for attitude towards the move to the gold brand and not treating it as a “demotion”.

The report noted that there has been discussion about keeping the group together despite Breakker’s main roster future, however, that remains to be seen.

With their win in the Dusty Cup, The War Dogs now officially have earned the right to challenge The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo) for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
