A pair of running buddies have broken up on tonight’s WWE Payback after the first match of the night at the premium live event.
The show opened with the steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus, seemingly the blow-off to their storyline that started back in April.
However when Zoey Stark got involved to help Stratus, it apparently wasn’t effective enough, as in the end, Lynch still picked up the victory.
After the match, Trish Stratus seemed none too impressed, and after a bit of a back and forth, Trish slapped Stark which the latter did not take kindly to.
With the slap being the final straw, Zoey Stark ended up dropping Trish Stratus with the Z-360 and leaving the cage as Stratus was left down and without a friend.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Payback, a top NXT star has already appeared, taking the show in from ringside. You can click here to read more about that.
