Tiffany Stratton’s reign as WWE NXT Women’s Champion came to an end at the hands of Becky Lynch on September 12, 2023.
In a ratings smash for WWE, Lynch defeated Stratton and the former champion has broken her silence on social media over her recent loss.
She tweeted:
“The only time you’ll catch me looking back is to see how far I’ve come, and I’m only just beginning.”
She would also share her “battle wounds” photo (which can be seen below), showing that she broke two nails as a result of the match.
Over 1 million people were tuned in by the end of the Stratton vs Lynch match.
The show overall drew the highest NXT viewership since October 2020.
Stratton signed with WWE in August 2021 and would make her debut on 205 Live (now NXT Level Up) in November of that year.
She made her NXT debut on December 28, 2021, and would be prominently featured until a head injury in August 2022.
Upon her return in January 2023, Stratton would make her play for championship gold at NXT Stand and Deliver but would be unsuccessful.
In May, she took part in the NXT Women’s Championship Tournament that came about after Indi Hartwell was forced to vacate the championship due to injury and being drafted to WWE Raw.
Stratton became the 100th woman in WWE to hold championship gold at WWE NXT Battleground on May 28, 2023 with her win over Lyra Valkyria.
