Released WWE Star’s Next Move Revealed WWE

Having not wrestled since September 2023, the ex-WWE star formerly known as Top Dolla has been announced for an upcoming show.

Hit Row member AJ Francis (Top Dolla) was released on September 21, 2023, as part of a number of WWE talent cuts.

His last match was at the September 10 WWE Sunday Stunner event where Hit Row (Top Dolla, B-Fab and Ashante Adonis) lost to the LWO (Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde & Zelina Vega).

The former American football player is making his return to Game Changer Wrestling for his first wrestling appearance since his release.

As announced on the GCW Twitter account, AJ Francis will be in action on January 26, 2024 at their Look At Me show that’s also set to feature Andrade El Idolo.

Andrade El Idolo has recently taken bookings with CMLL with speculation that he is aiming for a WWE return after his AEW contract expires.

Another former WWE name who was released as part of the same round of talent cuts is Mansoor who is also scheduled to appear at the GCW show.

AJ Francis previously appeared for GCW at their For the Culture show on April 1, 2022, teaming with Tehuti Miles (fka Ashante Adonis) as the HitMakerZ to face Shane Taylor Promotions (O’Shay Edwards & Shane Taylor).

Francis signed with WWE in January 2020 and would be released as part of COVID-19 related cuts in November 2021.

He would be re-hired by the company in August 2022 and would be drafted to WWE SmackDown in the 2023 draft, ahead of his release in September 2023.
