Why AEW’s Latest Hire Affects Triple H & WWE WWE

With recent reports of a WWE name from behind the scenes moving on to become a game changer for AEW, now more details have emerged.

AEW announced that former VP of Global TV Production for WWE, Mike Mansury is now All Elite.

Not only has AEW hired the backstage name with a notable background, the move has an impact back over at WWE.

Mansury will now serve as a Senior Vice President and Co-Executive Producer for AEW, but it was his previous work with WWE that is also worth noting.

While the Triple H regime has taken over in many ways since the departure of Vince McMahon, one controversial name backstage that has remained in a position of power is Kevin Dunn.

According to Fightful Select, their sources within WWE had mentioned repeatedly that there was “one person who seemed poised to replace” Kevin Dunn, however, he had departed the company and it was not clear if he could be brought back in.

While the sources indicated that Triple H was “keen” on their work and seemed interested in bringing them back, it was not revealed until today that the unnamed producer was in fact the AEW acquisition, Mike Mansury.

Interestingly, the same WWE sources note that this behind the scenes acquisition is to AEW’s benefit and will undoubtedly increase their product.

With one source that is typically anti-AEW even specifically noting that this was AEW’s “biggest hiring this year.”

Kevin Dunn continues to be WWE’s Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution.

It was reported recently that Dunn was absent from Survivor Series last month, which you can read more about at this link.
