At NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff last month, Toni Storm somewhat surprisingly dropped the NXT UK Women’s Championship to Kay Lee Ray.
This was a title change that many people didn’t see coming, and immediately people began speculating online that Storm would be heading out of NXT UK.
While nothing had been reported, many people speculated that like fellow former NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, Storm could be heading to NXT in the US ahead of the brand’s move to the USA Network next week.
However, some even speculated that due to WWE and Triple H’s strong opinions towards Storm, she could be headed to either Raw or Smackdown.
However, PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson is reporting that there have been discussions within WWE about bringing the Australian wrestler to NXT in the US moving forward:
“There’s been a lot of talk in the last week that Toni Storm will be featured more in WWE NXT going forward, as opposed to NXT UK.”
If this report is to be believed, then NXT now has a stacked women’s roster boasting the likes of NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Candice LeRae, Io Shirai, Mia Yim, Biance Belair, Rhea Ripley and now Toni Storm.
This comes after it was reported that along with Toni Storm, Pete Dunne will be working far more in NXT after moving to the States.
