Matt Riddle To WWE Leaked?

TOP INDEPENDENT WRESTLER MATT RIDDLE TO WWE LEAKED? God dammit, Vince.

Riddle recently pulled out of several appearances over SummerSlam weekend, starting speculation that he was on his way to WWE, possibly to make a ringside debut at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn. The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported Riddle has received offers from both WWE and New Japan, and now Combat Zone Wrestling might’ve leaked where the King of Bros is actually heading.

To promote Riddle’s match against Johnny Silver for their New Heights show tomorrow, CZW released a graphic that read: “don’t miss one of Matt Riddle’s final indy appearances before going to WWE!”

That graphic was then quickly taken down and replaced with a new one saying: “Don’t miss one of Matt Riddle’s final Indy appearances.” Close call, CZW. Got away with that one…

 

Carmella Injured

…WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella, however, wasn’t so lucky, as she’s revealed Mella isn’t just money; Mella is also injured.

Posting on her Instagram story, Carmella revealed she suffered a busted lip during her loss to Becky Lynch on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown.

While she vowed to fight through it because she’s tough, WWE potentially don’t agree, as she tweeted she might not be able to compete over the weekend’s live events:

I’m not sure if I will be medically cleared to compete. Hopefully my lip will be healed by then. Crossing my fingers. 🤞🏽 https://t.co/CQq4f1OMiZ

This could just be Carmella playing the heel on Twitter, though, as getting out of wrestling for such a minor injury is a very cowardly Cultaholic kind of thing to do.
