A WWE star has opened up about how a released star became a “natural fit” for a popular tag team following her return to the company.
Sarah Logan had made appearances in WWE from 2014 before signing a developmental contract in 2016 and becoming a fixture on NXT.
She would make her main roster debut in November 2017 and remain with the company until her release in April 2020.
In January 2022, however, she would make a surprise return to WWE for the Royal Rumble of that year and go on to make a full-time return in November as part of the Viking Raiders taking the name Valhalla.
In a recent interview with Fightful, Erik of the Viking Raiders addressed Logan’s return and transformation into Valhalla, revealing:
“I don’t exactly remember who made the initial call. ‘What if the Vikings had a priestess?’
“That was kind of a natural…once that idea was out there, people were like, ‘Could we get Sarah? Do you think she would want to do that?’
“Of course, I shoot her a text, and she was interested.
“‘Yeah, you probably want to give her a call. You never know how it’s going to go.’
“She starts talking and just like our characters and costumes, she designed the look. The feel, the energy, the makeup, all this stuff.
“A lot of it was just stuff she already had. She’s already into that stuff. It wasn’t a big stretch for her.
“It just happened that way where once the doors cracked, it’s a natural fit and no resistance.”
Erik would also discuss how the Viking Raiders came about following the shortlived Viking Experience.
The real-life Raymond Rowe married the former Sarah Logan on December 21, 2018 in a Viking themed ceremony.
They have a son named Raymond Cash Rowe who was born in February 2021.
Valhalla was on the May 29 episode of WWE Raw and came face to face with new Alpha Academy member Maxxine Dupri.
