Scrapped plans for two notable names to be part of the WWE Wyatt Family faction have been revealed.
Led by the late Bray Wyatt, the Wyatt Family faction quickly became a popular act very soon after moving from WWE NXT to the main roster.
While iterations of the group included Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman, the late Luke Harper and even Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton briefly, Mark Briscoe has revealed that the Briscoes were considered for the group at one point.
Speaking with AIPT Comics, Mark Briscoe noted that he and his brother Jay were set to debut with the group in July 2013, noting:
“We were going to debut with the Wyatt Family.”
The article noted that Jay’s homophobic tweets resulted in these plans being nixed. Jay apologized for these comments in the years following the controversy.
Jay Briscoe passed away in January 2023. Mark Briscoe currently competes for AEW, where he is part of the Conglomeration faction alongside Kyle O’Reilly, Willow Nightingale, Orange Cassidy and Rocky Romero.
