WWE Raw – June 24, 2019 (Review)

Overall Rating for the Show (From best to worst: RawSome, Cor, AvRAWge, Poor and RawFul)

For the most part, this felt like another Raw in which dozens of ideas were thrown against a wall to see which stuck. Regular storytelling mechanics were too often discarded in favour of meaningless elimination tag matches, tugs of war and women bickering over which of them are better friends.

Most appalling of all though is the main event scene. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have rapidly become the most annoying people on Earth, akin to those obnoxious friends who get together and then immediately feel entitled to dish out relationship advice to everybody. Worse still is the fact that this nauseating union only serves to set up a mixed tag encounter against Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin at Extreme Rules.

As soon as that match was set up at the top of the show, there was no redeeming Raw. Not the fun 24/7 Title segment, not the exciting main event, not even the return of The Undertaker! Caught in the wake of this scattershot nonsense are sadly some very talented performers. The tag champs were harmed, Braun and Lashley looked ridiculous and Nikki Cross is made out to be a total moron.

In case I haven’t entirely sold you on how diabolical this show was – there was also no Firefly Fun House this week.

With that in mind, Raw this week – and in particular its main event scene – was RawFul.
